THE CENTRAL THEME OF THE BIBLE

What is the Bible message? What is it trying to tell us? To understand what this book is about, we need to understand the underlying theme. A theme is the core message that is often repeated to make the point! There are key principles that repeat often and provide the outline of the intended purpose of God. It is evident that God established his intent right from the beginning, in Genesis. His message is constant and continues through to the final book of Revelation. His theme permeates the Bible like a thread that is woven through every chapter and book to provide God’s complete plan of salvation. Let’s have a look.

– It is the means which provides a covering for sin: Galatians 3:27
– Brings us into covenant relationship with God. Ephesians 2:12
– Symbolic of the burial of the old man: Romans 6:3-5
– Provides forgiveness of sins: Colossians 2:12-14
– Represents rebirth into a new life: John 3: 5,6
